Set in the picturesque North Cornish countryside, just off the Atlantic Highway, we are located approximately 5 miles inland from Padstow. With easy access to the rest of Cornwall, the Retallack Resort & Spa provides a welcoming getaway from busy, everyday life! Our holiday home is our ‘happy’ place where we have made many wonderful memories and we would love to share it with you. Rookies has 4 double bedrooms (sleeps 8), set up as 2 Kings & 2 Twins (one of each on each floor), two bathrooms/shower rooms, two living areas, a fully equipped kitchen & dining area plus a laundry room with washer/dryer. The upstairs living area is the full width of the lodge with 2 4-seater sofas and a study area making the most of the fully glazed vista overlooking the Cornwall countryside!
There is a large fully contained, child and dog safe outside decked area on the ground floor with outdoor dining table for 8 and a smaller balcony of the upstairs, perfect for that morning coffee. To the side of the property is a large drive where you will find parking for 3/4 cars. For those of you with Electric cars there are chargers located on resort with easy contactless payment facilities.
Named after our beloved Black Labrador Rookie who loved it here as much as we do, our dog friendly lodge is kitted out for our four legged friends too. There are many dog friendly beaches and places to eat including our own onsite bar/restaurant – The Lookout! In resort there are tennis courts, indoor swimming pool and spa, plus in high season there are kids clubs & activities. For adrenaline junkies there is Flow rider and an outdoor aqua park providing surfing, wakeboarding, paddle boarding and an inflatable obstacle course!!! Fishing is also available on site for any budding anglers.
All linen and towels are provided, you just need to bring your own beach towels and you have everything you need whether you are looking for a quiet, peaceful break or an action packed holiday. There is a small shop onsite for essentials but most supermarkets deliver to resort. Alternatively within a few miles/short drive you will find CO-OP in St Columb, Tesco/Lidl/Aldi/Co-op in Padstow or Wadebridge. Slightly further away in Newquay are Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrison’s.
Ronnie (yellow lab) and Reggie (black lab) are now the proud custodians of Rookies and cannot wait to share our much loved holiday home with you!
